The Industry Leaders Roundtable is a select group of representatives from large firms personally invited by the Foundation. Participation represents a strong commitment to advancing women and demonstrates a firm’s leadership role in inspiring positive change. Powerful and insightful, Roundtable participants engage in conversations and processes that will radically change the building industry. These conversations will take place at both an annual retreat and two breakfast meetings during the year. The ideas, plans, and implementation strategies that emerge from the professionally facilitated annual conference are bound to have a dramatic impact on both industry dynamics and the built environment. The Roundtable is a unique opportunity to transform practice, for both the individual organizations and for the building industry as a whole.
The first gathering of the Industry Leaders Roundtable takes place on October 6-7, 2010, at the Pocantico Conference Center of the Rockefeller Brothers Fund on the grounds of the Rockefeller Estate in Tarrytown, New York. This meeting site is offered by the Rockefeller Brothers Fund for small, high-level conferences on topics of great social significance. Attendees this year will include, among others, representatives from AECOM, HOK, Perkins+Will, Weidlinger Engineers, and S/L/A/M Collaborative.
To help advance this agenda, the Roundtable meets during the year where the Roundtable members and BWAF can exchange knowledge under the guidance of a professional facilitators.
Roundtable News is a section of the BWAF Briefly newsletter about relevant management issues and is published three times a year.
